"Forsaking All Others" by David A. Richey
I believe that 2010 is ‘the year of the woman’ and because it is the year of the woman it is also the year of the Church.
As we release the women we will see an anointing of freedom come upon the Church.
Too many in the ‘Body of Christ’ relate to women like they are second-class citizens when the bible clearly states:
Galatians 8:28-29
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are
all one in Christ Jesus.29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the
promise.
How can we have freedom with Jesus when there are parts of the ‘Body’ that are not free. We’re not free until everyone is free.
In the Old Covenant the ‘man’ was instructed to leave mother and father and cleave to his wife, because it was understood that the woman would cleave having a dowry paid to her father. And biblically the woman was made for man.
So, in the New Covenant with Jesus being the groom and the Church being the bride we are to cleave to Him alone and forsaking all others
Ephesians 5:25
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved
the church, and gave himself for it.
In a marriage ceremony there is a part of the vows that we as Christians ought to say to Jesus Christ:
Will you have this man to be your wedded husband, to live together in the holy estate of
marriage?
Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, in sickness and in health; and forsaking all
others keep you only to him so long as you both shall live?
We ought to show the world by our lifestyle that no other relationship can compare with our love for Jesus Christ.
‘Forsaking all others keep you only to Him so long as you both shall live’
Point One
Release the woman.
Point Two
Church be the Church loving Christ by forsaking all others keep you only to Him so long as you both shall live.
Do you have eternal life?
